We’re now deep into “boat show season” and our BoatU.S. Magazine editors have crawled around some impressive new vessels, both big and small. Here are some that caught our eye.

Hurricane Sundeck 2050

A great entry-level boat designed to keep an active family busy, this 20-foot deck boat can both tow and fish with optional livewell and connection for trolling motor. A traditional helm leaning post is replaced by two comfortable captains’ chairs that swivel 360 degrees to face a transom-spanning bench seat to keep the cockpit conversation going. Bennington S and SV

As pontoon boats grow more well-appointed, high-end builder Bennington chose to refresh its line at the entry level with 18- and 22-foot models that cost more because they come with more. A redesigned helm features more leg room for tall skippers. On long days on the water, you’ll appreciate the lumbar-supporting benches and wireless phone charger. A lockable storage compartment adds peace of mind. A new swingback bench lets stern sitters turn around to enjoy the scenery.

Aspen L107 CLX

Aspen Power Catamarans are unlike other boats on the market because of their proa hull design  — one of the twin hulls is wider than the other. Inspired by the double-outrigger boats used by Pacific island cultures, the designs are great on fuel and have spacious deck accommodations. Four Winns TH36

We didn't have a powercat from Four Winns on our bingo card this year! The TH36 is the builder’s first multihull and worth a look as either a weekender or dayboat. That’s because the open bow has plush seating for riding, snoozing, or dining. Tucked inside each hull is a full suite with queen bed and private heads with a separate, enclosed shower area. The beamy, fully equipped, open-air wheelhouse and cockpit area is made for entertaining. The twin-outboard-powered cat comes with joystick piloting technology for easy docking and maneuverability.

Grady-White Canyon 386

Spacious is what comes to mind when you step aboard the Canyon 386. It doesn’t feel like a center-console because the 13-foot, 2-inch beam opens up the cockpit for entertainment protected by a wraparound windshield, and below decks for a true weekend cabin with TV, galley, and separate head with a stand-up shower. The open bow can transform from a comfortable lounge to a casting deck.
